My Cultural Background: What Makes It Special?
Everyone has a cultural background that shapes who they are. I’m very interested in our customs. It can play a role in our lives. In this essay, I will describe my cultural background and explain what makes it special to me. One important part of my cultural background is Chinese new year. This is special because it’s the most important festival in Taiwan and annual. A good example is we’ll have a family gathering on Chinese new year eve. Then, we can get some red envelopes. Because of this, I feel proud of being blessed and like to share it with others. Another important part of my background is the moon festival. This is meaningful because it gives a chance to gather family and have a BBQ. For example, usually the moon festival is in late September, we’ll call some friends or family to have a BBQ .
